Macbeth

Characters Macbeth-power seems to corrupt, personally and politically. Shows how one decision can change the course of your life, with some there is absolutely no turning back. Macbeth said he was so steeped in blood that to go forward would be just as hard as to go backward. The decision to kill was a line he crossed that would not allow a return. That first murder of his king was a moral decision that he did not take lightly- he fought it, didn't want to do it, had lots of reasons, why he shouldn't do it and only one prodding him forward - ambition. Each subsequent murder became more and more horrific and his conscience more and more guilt free. Only the killing of the king was done with his own hands; the rest were by his command. There was only one outcome to the story and that had to be the death of Macbeth.
